Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
These Terms & Conditions apply to orders placed with Jeeves & Jericho Ltd through our website.
Throughout these terms, “Jeeves & Jericho”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Jeeves & Jericho Ltd.
1. Placing an Order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products shown in your order.
Receipt of an order confirmation or payment authorisation does not necessarily mean that we have accepted your order.
A contract between you and Jeeves & Jericho will be formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted and/or dispatched.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where, for example:
- a product is unavailable;
- there has been an error in the price or product description;
- payment has not been authorised;
- we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity;
- we are unable to deliver to the address supplied; or
- we reasonably believe that an order has been placed in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
If payment has already been taken for an order that we subsequently cancel, we will provide a full refund.
2. Product Information
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, ingredients, weights, prices and other information shown on our website are accurate.
Many of our teas and other products contain natural ingredients, so there may occasionally be small variations in appearance, colour, flavour or aroma between batches.
Packaging and presentation may also change from time to time without affecting the nature or quality of the product.
Where allergen or ingredient information is provided, customers should always check the product packaging before consumption, particularly where allergies or intolerances are concerned.
3. Prices
All prices shown on our website are in Pounds Sterling (£) unless otherwise stated.
VAT will be applied where legally applicable.
Delivery charges are calculated separately and will be clearly displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time, although any change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.
4. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
Payments are processed securely through the payment providers displayed on our website at the time of purchase.
We do not store complete payment-card details on our own systems where payments are processed on our behalf by an authorised third-party payment provider.
All payments are subject to authorisation by the relevant payment provider.
5. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible and estimated delivery times will normally be shown during checkout or in your order confirmation.
Unless a different delivery period has been agreed with you, goods will normally be delivered within the period required by applicable consumer law.
Delivery times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If we become aware of a significant delay with your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
If we are unable to fulfil your order within the required or agreed timeframe, you may be entitled to cancel your order and receive a refund.
Please check your delivery address carefully when placing your order. We cannot accept responsibility for delays or failed deliveries caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.
6. Your Right to Cancel
If you are purchasing from us as a consumer online, you will normally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
For goods covered by the statutory cancellation right, you must normally tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods.
Once you have notified us of your cancellation, you will normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
You may be responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods unless the goods are faulty, incorrect or we have agreed otherwise.
Where applicable, we will refund the price paid for the goods together with the cost of our standard delivery service. Additional delivery charges resulting from your choice of an enhanced or express delivery service may not be refundable.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
7. Products That Cannot Be Returned
Certain products may be excluded from the statutory right to cancel where permitted by law.
These may include:
- goods made or personalised specifically for you;
- goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; and
- sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once the seal has been broken.
This does not affect your rights where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
For food and beverage products, we ask that unwanted products are returned unopened and in their original condition wherever the statutory cancellation right applies.
If you are unsure whether a product can be returned, please contact us before sending it back.
8. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
We take great care with the quality, preparation and dispatch of our products.
If an item arrives damaged, is faulty, is not as described or is not the product you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and details of the problem.
Your legal rights are protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Where applicable, consumers have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days. Depending upon the circumstances and the length of time you have owned the product, you may alternatively be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions limits your statutory rights.
9. Refunds
Where you validly exercise your statutory right to cancel an online order, we will process your refund within the timeframe required by law.
We may wait until we have received the returned goods or you have supplied evidence that they have been returned before issuing the refund.
Where permitted by law, we may make a reasonable deduction from a refund if goods have been handled beyond what would reasonably be necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality.
Refunds will normally be made using the original method of payment.
10. Wholesale and Business Customers
Jeeves & Jericho supplies both individual consumers and trade customers.
Consumer cancellation rights do not apply in the same way to customers purchasing products wholly or mainly for business purposes.
Wholesale, distributor, hospitality and other trade orders may be subject to separate commercial terms, including agreed credit terms, minimum order quantities, delivery charges, pricing structures and returns policies.
Where separate written trade terms have been agreed between Jeeves & Jericho Ltd and a business customer, those terms will take precedence where they conflict with these consumer-facing Terms & Conditions.
11. Promotions and Discount Codes
From time to time we may offer promotional codes, discounts or special offers.
Unless otherwise stated:
- promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash;
- only one promotional code may be used per order;
- promotions may have an expiry date;
- certain products may be excluded; and
- promotional offers may be withdrawn or amended at any time before an order has been accepted.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any promotion that we reasonably believe has been used fraudulently, incorrectly or contrary to its stated terms.
12. Complaints
We take customer service seriously and want to resolve any problem quickly and fairly.
If you have a complaint, please contact us using the contact details provided on our website.
We will aim to:
- acknowledge your complaint within five working days;
- explain how we intend to deal with it;
- provide an indication of when you can expect a response; and
- keep you informed where additional time is required.

14. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on our website is accurate and up to date.
Occasionally, errors may occur in product descriptions, prices, availability, images or other information.
Where we identify an obvious error before accepting an order, we reserve the right to correct it and give you the opportunity to proceed with the corrected information or cancel your order.
We may update, amend or remove website content at any time without prior notice.
15. Availability
All products are offered subject to availability.
If a product becomes unavailable after you have placed your order, we will contact you and may offer a suitable alternative where appropriate.
You will not be required to accept an alternative product.
If we are unable to supply an ordered product and no acceptable alternative is agreed, we will refund any amount already paid for that product.
16. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to your statutory rights, Jeeves & Jericho Ltd will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, we are responsible only for losses arising from your purchase for personal and domestic purposes and not for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, contracts or business opportunity.
17. Events Outside Our Control
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
These may include disruption to postal or courier services, severe weather, industrial action, transport disruption, shortages of raw materials, supply-chain interruptions, fire, flood, natural disasters or other events that we could not reasonably have prevented.
Where such an event affects your order, we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed.
18. Privacy and Personal Information
Any personal information provided to Jeeves & Jericho Ltd will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our business, our website or applicable law.
The Terms & Conditions applying to your order will normally be those published on our website at the time your order is placed.
20. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, you will retain any mandatory legal rights and protections available to you in the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
